About Tara

Are you the one everyone leans on, but no one thinks to check on? Maybe you're accomplished, capable, and always showing up, yet inside you feel stretched thin, unsure of yourself, or like you're running on empty. You might be overthinking every decision, holding yourself to impossible standards, or wondering when it's finally your turn to feel at peace.

I'm Tara, a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years of experience helping adults move through anxiety, burnout, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I have a special passion for supporting high-achieving professionals, particularly Black women, who are ready to stop carrying everything alone.

I understand the juggling act. I'm a wife and a mother, and I know how easy it is to put yourself last. In our work together, we'll explore how your experiences have shaped you, recognize the patterns that keep you stuck, and build healthier boundaries without the guilt. As you begin to care for yourself differently, everything else starts to shift too: your relationships, your energy, and the way you show up in your own life.

My approach is warm, direct, and collaborative. I draw on trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and practical strategies for changing unhelpful thought patterns. You won't just talk about what's hard. You'll leave sessions with real insight and tools you can use in your everyday life. Therapy with me is culturally responsive, so you can bring your whole self, without having to explain or shrink who you are.

When I'm not in session, you'll find me on a hiking trail, working on a craft project, or tackling a DIY project around the house. I believe everyone deserves something that helps them slow down and recharge, and I'll help you find yours.

You deserve to feel as good on the inside as you look on the outside. I offer virtual sessions throughout Georgia. Schedule a free 15-minute consultation to see if we're a good fit.
